Annie Leibovitz
Everyone has heard of her, true- but I simply cannot get enough of Annie Leibovitz (idol worship on my part to say the least). For Christmas my parents gave me her biographical documentary, “Annie Leibovitz: Life Through a Lens.” I watched it last night and became obsessed with her work all over again. She is truly inspiring in so many ways, not the least of which is her incredible...

Ireland
I have always felt like I belong in Ireland- maybe it’s the Duffy (or one of my other Irish ancestral clans) in me; perhaps it’s the claddagh I carry with me or even my green eyes. My dream vacation is definitely Ireland, but I would secretly like to live there as well. How can you not agree when you see a photo like that?

Lip Dubs
Lip Dub - Flagpole Sitta by Harvey Danger from amandalynferri on Vimeo. I have recently become more acquainted with the complex art of lip dubs, especially on university campuses, and the more I think about it, the more I think one needs to happen at the place I hold dearest, good old UW-Madison. With over 40,000 students and an amazing campus, anything could happen- right? I want to try it!

Around the House
My parents have owned this house for nearly three years now; I have lived in it a total of perhaps four months, mostly comprised of time when I was on break from school. That being said, I do love this house- my room in particular- and the things my parents keep in it. I decided to do a house documentation with my camera last night when I was home alone here for one of the first times ever. I...

Package Design by Frank Aloi
One of my favorite design blogs, The Dieline, has been featuring work by Frank Aloi pretty regularly as of late. Any of his work is easy to love- he has a clear sense of minimalism but somehow manages to maintain a style throughout all of his packages that is unique to him. It is his wine bottle designs, though, that are the most stunning in my opinion. Visit Frank Aloi’s website...

Jason Wu: Pre-Fall 2010
I hadn’t had much time to look a the new collections on Style.com until I finished the semester, but finally got around to it today. My opinions? Celine was an obvious stand-out to me (so strong and somehow feminine); Miu Miu fell short; Rodarte’s fascination with primitive tattoos distracted from his amazingly constructed ensembles. I have yet to find any problems, however, with Jason...

Etsy: Lauren Castillo →
These prints by Etsy vendor Lauren Castillo are undeniably quaint and charming, but there is something really fresh about them, too. All of the snow we have been experiencing lately makes me want to buy them and hang them in my room at school to cozy it up a bit.

Goodbye Blogspot, Hello Tumblr
The end of something is always a the beginning of something else; and in the relatively unimportant realm of my blogosphere, Blogspot has met, at the very least, its temporary end. Its predecessor, worthiness and reliability unknown, its currently Tumblr. Let’s give this a go. I hope that here you can expect fewer rants and more observations; less about me and more about the world; and a...
